Garlic Ice Cream(Dorakyura Aisu)At last! An ice cream that lets everybody around you know you've eaten it! Garlic-flavored Dracula Ice Cream is a summer delight you can really get your teeth into. Designed to ward off vampires, the irregular selection of flavoring may ward off a few ice cream lovers, too. Garlic may well be a wonderful condiment for an assortment of foods, but, appropriately for the substance vampires really hate, this is bloody awful. Incidentally, Garlic Ice Cream was made in the tiny Aomori Prefecture village of Shingo, which claims to be the place where Jesus Christ's grave is located.

The scene: A group of average looking people are sitting on some stairs outside, in predawn light, facing the sea. As the sun begins to rise, they all put on their Ray Ban® sunglasses. One latecomer to the group fumbles around, not finding his. The sun rises over the ocean, the light falling on them. The hapless guy zaps into a smoking pile of dust. "Looks like someone forgot his Ray Bans.®" All the normal looking people laugh, flashing their vampire fangs.

Count Micro Machines
This commercial for Micro Machines features a vampire which is kind of odd since the toys in the ad have absolutely nothing to do with vampires. Commercial | Date Of Release: 1990

bulletAnti Smoking Ad "Ashes of Doom"
“Ashes of Doom”: This is the shortest piece on the disc: an anti-smoking PSA done as a parody of Dracula.
....great little anti smoking film called "Ashes of Doom." It ran about 2 minutes and was hilarious. The set is a gothic bed chamber. It is storming outside and the curtains are blowing into the room. A woman in a night gown is frantically chain smoking. Her ash tray is stacked about two feet high with cigarette butts. Suddenly there is a flash of lightening and a clap of thunder, cut to a close up of evil eyes looking in her window. She screams and falls onto the bed in a faint. "Dracula" comes in through the window, leans over her, grins and bends down out of camera range. Then he suddenly pops back up with a horrid expression on his face and coughs out a ton of smoke.

bulletAn article in the Chronicle pointed out Reebok's gross error in naming one of its athletic shoe models "Incubus." Only after 53,000 of these shoes were shipped to America was it pointed out to a horrified Reebok spokesman that "Incubus" refers to the evil medieval spirits believed to attack sleeping women and have sex with them.

If you wanted to buy a pair of Reebok's "Incubus" running shoes for women, you are out of luck. They were yanked off the market last month after a TV reporter in Phoenix pointed out to Reebok executives that an incubus was a medieval demon that had sex with women while they slept (as Jay Leno noted, today we call them "husbands"). Nobody at Reebok would admit to okaying the name, or remembering how it came to be chosen, or knowing the first thing about mythology. At least, they didn't try to argue that a woman being descended upon by a horny demon could use a really good pair of running shoes.

Count Dracula as a spokesman for products as diverse as men's toiletries (from Gillette Industries) to sugarless gum (Trident) to copper-top batteries (Duracell). [Notation: the product line doesn't stop there either; over the years, the vampire image has been associated with mouthwash, cat food, alcohol, fruit juice, pizza, security systems, and two dozen other items. During the Halloween season, the product line nearly doubles with the large variety of greeting cards, party favors, candy, centerpieces, napkins, and paper plates that feature Count Dracula or some other noted vampire (Vampirella, Vampira, Elvira - to name a few).] Source:http://www.towson.edu/~flynn/vamp.html
